Broker - Owner

Dan Burpee, Broker, is a Bucksport native and graduate of Husson University where he received a BA in criminal justice. Since starting his real estate career in 2010, Dan has gained extensive experience working with both buyers and sellers. Offering modern marketing strategies, Dan showcases his listings to their fullest potential. Dan has served as a director & treasurer for the Greater Bangor Association of Realtors as well as director for the Maine Association of Realtors. Dan was awarded Businessperson of the Year by his local Bucksport Bay Area Chamber of Commerce in 2017. Dan also owns & operates a local property management company, Penbay Property Management, LLC in Bucksport, ME with his wife Ashley.



Kathy and her husband Paul Hansen founded Two Rivers Realty in 2009 and for many years she successfully helped many buyers and sellers search for their special home or prepare to sell their current home. Kathy and Paul sold Two Rivers Realty to Dan Burpee in 2020 but Kathy continues to work hard as a realtor for the company to help her clients overcome issues and obstacles to reach a successful sale!

Kathy is an active community member and has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Bucksport Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Bangor Apartment Owners and Managers Association, the Bangor Board of Realtors, the Maine Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.  She is also an experienced Guardian ad Litem advocate for abused children.

Kathy enjoys birding, kayaking and nature walks and lives with her husband Paul Hansen on Verona Island.



Paul has many years of experience as a business owner and along with his wife Kathy Coogan, Paul founded Two Rivers Realty in 2009.  Paul has received multiple million dollar sales certifications for real estate and is well known and respected for his ability to get positive results for his clients with a “win-win” approach. Paul and Kathy sold Two Rivers Realty to Dan Burpee in 2020, but Paul continues as a realtor and a member of the Bangor Board of Realtors, the Maine Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors, and the Greater Bangor Apartment Owners and Managers Association (GBAOMA). 

Paul is also actively involved in the community and has served as a member of the Verona Island Comprehensive Planning Board, the Waldo-Hancock Bridge Committee, the Board of Directors of the Bucksport Bay Area Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Directors of Great Pond Conservation Trust. He is also an experienced Guardian ad Litem advocate for abused children. 

He enjoys fishing and working on antique tractors and lives with his wife, Kathy Coogan, on Verona Island.


Associate Broker

Damon Holmes, Associate Broker, is a Bucksport native who grew up here in the town, and graduated from Bucksport High School.

In 1985 he was hired at the St. Regis Paper Company where he worked for nearly 30 years working many various positions.

After the closing of the mill, Damon pursued a career in real estate, and has been with Two Rivers Realty for five years where he really enjoys meeting new people, and working with the community.

Damon enjoys hunting, fishing,  traveling, and lives with his wife, Ann, in Bucksport.


Associate Broker

Crystal’s goal is to connect people to properties that will become their forever home. Whether you are buying or selling, Crystal wants to assure you feel comfortable and have an enjoyable and exciting experience! Crystal is a 2003 graduate of Bucksport High School and has run her own business as a licensed cosmetologist. She and her husband Dan, a Hancock County Sheriff’s Deputy, have 3 handsome boys, and reside in Bucksport. Crystal can help with any of your buying and selling needs for residential, commercial, land, multi-family, and waterfront properties.


Associate Broker

Michelle Rhodes joined Two Rivers Realty as a sales agent in 2018. Michelle and her husband own Silver Lake Stables in Bucksport where they care for rescued horses, including three Clydesdales. They searched for several years for the perfect location and she now wants to assist others with the often daunting task of selling or buying their perfect property. Michelle  is very active in the community and serves on the Senior Resource Committee, Gardner Commons Senior Housing Board, volunteers for Meals on Wheels and teaches YMCA Senior Strength Training. She received her degree from El Centro Community College and worked for many years as a legal assistant. Michelle can offer assistance to buyers and sellers of equestrian, residential, commercial, land and waterfront properties.


Sales Agent

Kyle has a deep connection to the Bucksport area. Growing up in nearby Orland, and graduating from Bucksport High School in 2009, Kyle and his wife now teach in the local school departments. Aside from having roots here in this community, Kyle also coaches football for Hampden Academy and is an assistant coach for the Husson University baseball team. Having great connections and an understanding of nearby communities is just one of his many strengths.  Kyle has invested most of his life to helping others be successful and would love to help you be successful with any of your real estate needs! 


Sales Agent

Doug Burpee became an agent of Two Rivers Realty in January 2020. He has a technology sales background and is currently pursuing an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University. In his spare time he likes to go on trips, hikes & other adventures with his wife & 3 children. Doug is always eager to help & share his knowledge to generate the best experience for his clients.



Agent Assistant

Kelley Jerome has extensive
professional experience, including managing administrative and legal procedures, marketing, responding
to client needs, and strong technical and computer skills. She is also a photographer, and owner of
Following Seas Photography, and works with her husband who owns CJ Insulation.

Together, they have four children.

A Verona Island native, Kelley enjoys photography, kayaking, fishing, and resides in Bucksport, with her husband, Christopher.
